Beyond the Muck Heap!

Talking of muck heaps – mine is about to move! Have just purchased a trailer to fill with muck which will tidy things up and make it much easier and quicker for the farmer to remove. My second purchase it two fab new wheelie’s, no longer is there a mad dash to grab a wheelie, plenty to go around and as you can see, they sure hold plenty of rubbish!

Yard ‘To do’ list is coming along well, but as soon as I tick something off, another job gets added. Most important job is to start the fencing for the summer paddocks and buying a new pair of shoes for the ‘ball’ next Saturday!

Jemima, Puddle and Duck

I know not very original but chosen by popular demand – 3 ducks have now waddled into White Horse Liveries and have taken up residence in the middle of the horse walker. Producing two eggs per day – so chuffed especially when duck eggs get turned into delicious lemon cake (Thanks Shirley)

On the Eventing front

Out and about training with Dan Greenwood, Lucinda Green and Warren Lamperd – learning so much and have lots to work on but everything very positive. Definitely now need to make sure that all journey’s have a ‘Costa’ on route – some may say we are addicted but just got to keep my strength up that’s my excuse anyway – me a Costa – horse ‘Saracen Re-Leve’! First event of the season Gatcombe closely followed by Larkhill, which is usually freezing this time of the year but the sun shone early in the morning and we were all done and dusted by 10 am – just an easy couple of runs at Novice for My Man Mickie and now heading to Withington in a couple of weeks for his first Intermediate of the season. Unfortunately Ascott Under Wychwood cancelled so All Night Dinah will have to wait for her initial outing this year.

The Tedworth Hunt Charity Cup Race

This year had the ride on the fabulous 19 year old Ronaldo owned by Liz Colvin and Anstice Baring. I had the cup to defend as last year rode Roseanna Hope TB Spider to victory! Ronaldo put up a tough fight to the finish line, but unfortunately we were just pipped to the post. Couldn’t have asked for anymore of Ronaldo he ran his socks off – not bad for an old boy!

Thanks very much for this great pic
