We are extremely lucky to have a large yard with many competition horses between us and we are extremely privileged to have Saracen Horse Feeds behind us making sure that each individual horse meets its nutritional demands.

We have had a hugely successful Regional Finals with Lorna Wilsons' Newton Domino ridden by Daniel winning the Medium at Kingston Maurward College. She is a very kind but sensitive mare whom always gives her best. We find the Saracen Essential Balancer as recommended by Lizzie Drury fulfils her nutritional need without making her too 'hot'.

Lucy rode her own Waterloo V in both the PSG & Inter I at Kingston Maurward finishing second in both classes. Joan Farquharsons' Scirocco qualified for the Nationals after finishing 4th in an extremely competitive Novice final.Scirocco is a power house and is still learning to contain this energy. He is fed on Essential Balancer and a small amount of Show Improver Pencils to help develop his topline.

We have been lucky to have several other placings with Lucy Nelsons' Saladin, Lorna Wilsons' Newton Delano, and Carole Feltons' Dillon & McCoy.Thank you to all owners.

Getting dressage horses fit for us doesn't all happen in the school. We tend to use hacking to reduce the strain placed upon our horses. This can include walking to cantering depending on each individual horse. We strongly feel that a fit horse is less prone to injury, recovers quicker and ultimately takes a horse closer to its potential. The use of The KER Clockit HR Monitor gives us the opportunity to monitor the HR dynamically via a smart phone. By doing this we are able to see how quickly our horses recover from intensive exercise, just how physically demanding some exercises are and make sure that we are stretching our horses enough to make them fitter but not to over stress them.

We look forward to seeing you all at the BD National Finals in September.
