I haven't had a quiet time that's for sure. Since my very successful Saumur CDI finishing third with Into The Blue then coming home and doing extremely well at Somerford Park Premier League in the Inter II and going on to win at Hickstead in the Inter A and fourth in the Inter II with over 72% of the international judges has really given me the best of season so far in the dressage. I also had great results at Hartpury CDI with both W Get Smart and Into The Blue, my feet haven't touched the ground! In between all that my young horse Zack is really coming on with his horse Phobia and is so much better in collecting rings so taking him abroad as my training horse has really paid off in his training of the mind. So he is looking like being a fantastic small tour horse for next season.

I took W Get Smart to Deauville to do medium tour and he came ninth as his first attempt! It was a beautiful show!

Between all of this I have just managed to squeeze in doing some working hunters with my new ride "CATCH THE BEAVER" only I could end up with a horse with a fab name like that!

The breeder sent him for me to ride produce and see how good he was. I knew he was special but he needed to develop some showmanship and his way of going needed help. So to work I went and after six weeks he proceeded to win first time out and go on to win his first HOYS qualifier. To top it off he went on to win the workers at the SHBGB NATIONAL CHAMPS, and then went Supreme Working Hunter Champion to win me my tenth national title. So I'm off to the horses of the year show in the working hunters!

Now to my AMAZING pupils that have totally inspired me this summer. A huge congratulations to all of you. Our hard work has paid off and for you all to have qualified for the horse of the year show makes me feel I'm doing what you pay me for! But even so you are all brilliant and I know you will enjoy your time there in October.

Before all the HOYS fun I have the British National Dressage Championships at Stoneleigh next week for me and Dynamo in the Inter II so it's all systems go in the way of preparation and training. Michael Eilberg has been great in fitting me in as I don't have much time in between all the hunters being in and new staff to train up for the season.

I've also been selected to go back to Saumur straight after the nationals so very exciting!

Thanks to my fantastic team at home that take care of things when I am away as if I didn't have such a great gang I wouldn't be able to do any of this.

As you can see I don't get time for rest or days off normally but I did manage three days in Portugal with my great friend Alan Davis freshly back from Rio who definitely needed a week’s holiday! I only had three days but to spend them with Alan, Tim Silivis, Robbie Sanders, Vanessa Ruiter, Steph Sharples, Lisa and Rachel was just fab! Sorry I couldn't stay longer but I'm grateful none the less ????
