Tweseldown – Oakleigh Temple

Well, what can I say about our first homebred, Oakleigh Temple, at his first ever event out at Tweseldown Horse Trials today. Danny was entered into an 80 as he is still a little green and learning what it is all about. He produced a lovely dressage test of 29 with room for improvement. He had one pole in the show jumping and a lovely clear cross country with a few time penalties, as we took it nice and steady. Amazing!  Everyone that has been a part of Danny's journey is very proud to see him grow from a foal to competition horse!

Saracen Horse Feeds Course Walk with GB Rider Izzy TaylorSaracen Course Walk

Lovely day out at Burghley Horse Trials with Lisa and Amy, doing a bit of shopping and catching up with some of my sponsors. We were very lucky to join in with the Saracen Horse Feeds course walk with GB rider Izzy Taylor, it was very interesting and great to see some of the cross country fences up close.  A big thank you to Saracens for the invitation and for having us. It was also lovey to meet another of my sponsors, Andrea from Mirrors for Training.

Brook Farm – Dressage

We took two of my youngsters out for their first ever dressage competition to Brook Farm Training Centre. 5 year old John Brown (John) and 4 year old Kaedens Surprise (Tyler) were both entered into the Prelim 7.  Both boys were a little overwhelmed at first, but once they settled down they did some really promising work and coped well with warming up with other horses. Both produced really sweet tests. They were a bit green and wobbly but did everything in the right places. I'm so pleased with the pair of them and their whole attitude to their first show. Really excited to get them out eventing next year. John got 61.36% and Tyler got 66.36% and third place.Photo credit to Sports in Pictures

Goring – Ghost Town GT

It was a good day for Ghost Town GT (Casper) at Goring Heath Horse Trials. Casper came out very relaxed with a super 30.5 dressage and double clear. A few cross country time penalties put him outside the placings today, but we are making great progress together out on the course. I have been taking my time at 100 level to really work on our control and connection through combinations and I'm really pleased with the ride he gave me today - Good boy!
