Chilham Castle – BE 100 Open

We headed off to Chilham with Ghost Town GT (Casper) to compete in the BE 100 Open. We was happy with his dressage, scoring a 29.5 and getting double clear across showjumping and cross country, to finish 11th in his section. We've decided to give him a couple of easy runs at BE100 level, to give us time to work on our steering and keeping him forward and straight through combinations. All in all, a good day.

Bluegate Hall - Dressage

We took our home bred Oakleigh Temple (Danny) to Bluegate Hall to compete in his first ever affiliated preliminary tests. He was placed 3rd in Prelim 17a with 66.03%, and 2nd in Prelim 19 with 69.16%. He warmed up beautifully and coped fantastically with being at a new venue. He really is a little superstar!

Aston le Walls – BE Novice

We took HollyPark Royale (Mitch) to Aston Le-Walls to give him a run in the Novice section. I didn't quite get the warm up I wanted for the dressage due to it being really busy, but he still did a really good test. I just couldn't push for my mediums as much as I would have liked. He come out with a 30.8 and followed it up with a lovely double clear. I felt the cross country was a very beneficial run before Keysoe in two weeks’ time. Some time to add meant no placing, but I'm really pleased as to where he is at and how consistent he has been this season. Good ginger pony.

Berwick Farm - Cross Country Training

We took Oakleigh Temple (Danny) to Berwick Farm for some cross country training before his first event in a weeks’ time. He was a lot more confident than his last trip out. Although a little bit green at times, he jumped everything I asked him too. Looking forward to seeing how he does.
