It’s been a relatively quiet month for Kama due to Christmas and New Year and then my boyfriend (Adam) and I moved house but I think Kama has been quite pleased. He only had a short two week break at the end of the event season so since our last blog we have just been hacking and doing some light school work. I believe hacking is so important for fitness so it’s definitely not a bad thing!
Adam’s dad came up to Yorkshire and stayed with us over Christmas which made the perfect number of horses to humans so we made the most of it had a lovely hack out around the village together.
After Christmas and New Year was over it was nice to get the 2017 British Eventing Calendar through the post so provisional plans are in place for this season. Kama is having his MOT next week after which we will ‘up the ante’ and get ready for our first event this season. We are hoping to make it to Burgham at the end of March, this year starting off at Novice, so the next 8 weeks are full of plans consisting of gallops, cross country schooling, showjumping and dressage practice!
Kama is looking a much bigger, stronger horse compared to this time last year after he was changed onto Saracen Horse Feeds so I’m looking forward to picking up where we left off!
Bye for now, Sian and Kama xxx
