Stamm 30® is a highly concentrated source of essential proteins, with patented vitamins, minerals and yeasts designed to upplement all classes of horses when additional calories (energy) are not called for. It can be fed alone to fast growing foals to control body weight and growth rates, and to support yearlings out at grass that are in good body condition and don’t need to be carrying extra weight as they grow and develop.
It is also suitable for supplementing gestating mares out at grass post-weaning from the middle of their second trimester (week 20 of their pregnancy onwards) through to their last trimester of pregnancy to take care of the key nutrients they require at this stage. Barren mares can also benefit from this maintenance diet.
Stamm 30® is manufactured in an ‘easy to use’ pellet for increased digestibility and uniform dispersion, when mixed with other feeds. It is incorporated as an ingredient into Level-Grow™ Mix, Level-Grow™ Pencils, Mare-Care, Stud Prep 14 and the Stallion Plan for nutrient continuity within the stud range. It can be used to ‘top-dress’ Level- Grow™, Stud Prep 14, Mare-Care and the Stallion Plan when feeding intakes are low (less than 3.6 kg /8 lbs per day)
Stamm 30® can easily be used in conjunction with any type of feeding programme, or management situation: It can be fed alone to mature horses being maintained on all-forage diets, and to young growing horses that are experiencing developmental orthopaedic disease (physitis, contracted tendons, osteochondrosis) as a low calorie source of essential protein, vitamins and minerals. It can be fed with oats, or other unfortified grain, to provide the correct balance of nutrients It can be added to mixes or pelleted rations when extra nutritional fortification is required.
The Saracen Two Part Feeding system
The 'Two-part' system of using Stamm 30® and Level-Grow™, Stud Prep 14, Mare-Care or Stallion Plan together allows energy levels to be reduced or increased, as required, at any stage of the breeding season, whilst guaranteeing the macro-and micronutrient supplementation.
These Thoroughbred feeding products all work together, and can be combined for greater flexibility. Each management situation, as well as each horse within that situation, calls for a unique plan of action. Individual assessment of these horses, and their body types, is critical.
Feeding rates should be adjusted to maintain appropriate body condition. Work towards achieving a steady increase in their bodyweight and height, then monitor them individually and adjust their diet as the seasons change.
Feed intakes will vary, depending upon the stage of growth or reproduction, and the changing needs of the individual. If Level-Grow™, Stud Prep 14, Mare-Care or the Stallion Plan are fed above 8 lbs/3.6 kg per head per day, no additional Stamm 30® is needed. However, if 3 - 6 lbs/1.3 – 2.7 kg is fed, 1 lb/0.45 kg of Stamm 30® should be fed alongside to maintain nutrient density. If less than 3 lbs/1.3 kg is fed, then feed 2.2 lbs/1 kg of Stamm 30®. When enough good quality grass or forage is available to provide sufficient calories (energy), then feed 2.2 lbs/1 kg of Stamm 30® alone.

[tab Research Behind Stamm 30® Balancer}
Stamm 30® utilizes proteinated trace minerals (copper, zinc, manganese) to increase the bioavailability of these critical elements needed for correct skeletal development and maintenance of the horse. A minimum of a third of the copper, zinc and manganese are provided in a bioavailable, proteinated form, known as a bioplex. Bioplexes are inorganic minerals chemically bound to a protein in order to enhance absorption and availability, so that they prevent interference and combining with other minerals. As they are digestively recognised as a protein, they utilize uptake pathways of the different amino acids.
A specifically designed yeast culture has been incorporated for increased microbial activity. This proprietary yeast source provides extremely high levels of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which promotes more efficient fibre digestion and maintains favourable digestively related bacteria counts in the hindgut. It also encourages increased absorption of significant minerals (copper, phosphorous, and zinc) and enhances protein utilization.
Stamm 30® also has an inclusion of E-max Ester, a natural form of Vitamin E that is transported quickly and retained in tissues approximately twice as long as synthetic forms.
Current research in several species, including horses, shows that natural Vitamin E is 2-3 times more potent than a synthetic source. As increased demands are placed on horses during the breeding season, mares, stallions and youngstock can all benefit from the incorporation of natural Vitamin E in this product.
