Going The Extra Mile To Support The Army Benevolent Fund

John Rawdon-Mogg, Joint Managing Director of Saracen Horse Feeds will be taking on the 2025 London Marathon to raise funds for the Army Benevolent Fund. The marathon, set to take place on 27^th April, will see John join thousands of runners taking on the 26.2 mile challenge to raise money for a cause that is close to home.

As a former soldier himself, John is running to support the Soldiers Charity, not only to raise money for those in need, but also to honour the sacrifices made by army veterans and their families. Dedicating months to intensive training John said “Preparing for the London Marathon is both a personal and physical challenge, it will certainly be pushing me to my limits. Every step is dedicated to the courage of those who have given so much for all of us”.

The Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) is the British Army’s national charity, providing lifelong support to serving soldiers, veterans, and their immediate families in times of need. From helping wounded soldiers adjust to life after service or assisting elderly veterans in maintaining their independence, the ABF is there for the Army family when they need it most. The charity focuses on six key areas: independent living, elderly care, education and employment, mental well-being, support for families, and housing.
