SPEAKERS:

Lizzie Drury

Lizzie has an Honours degree in Animal Science, a Master’s Degree in Equine Nutrition and is one of only small number of Registered Equine Nutritionists in the UK. She has worked for Saracen Horse Feeds for 21 years and provides technical advice and nutritional support to our equine clients in the UK, Europe and, in particular, the Middle East. Combined with this, she is a regular contributor to regional and national equine publications, lecturing at colleges and universities.

Lizzie’s area of expertise is in the performance horse, with a particular interest in the feeding and management of endurance horses, which has led to more time in the Middle East supporting some of the largest endurance clients. Some of her other clients include Olympic Gold Medallist, Charlotte Dujardin, and Team Gold Medallist, Carl Hester, as well as International Show Jumpers competing in the Nations Cup Team, top Event riders and Western and Reining clients. However, she is also equally happy helping and supporting amateur and everyday horse owners to ensure that they get the best out of their horses through correct feeding.

During her time at Saracen Horse Feeds, Lizzie has developed new rations, most notably, Essential Balancer, Shape Up and Recovery Mash and more recently a new endurance feed, which will be supporting many performance horses this season in the Middle East. Lizzie is known for being able to bring the science and research element of equine nutrition to the everyday rider and professional to enable them to apply the knowledge in an easy and practical way.
