Saracen sponsored rider Cathrine Dufour has been working closely with our Danish Distributor GLS Foder to ensure that Cassidy has the power to perform whilst watching his waistline.
It has always been super tricky to keep Cassidy slim enough all the time during a season. In the end of May he won the Danish Championship but was simply too fat, and then we decided to try out the new SHAPE UP from Saracen Horse Feeds.
So about 4 months later he looks this fit! It’s safe to say that this change in diet has made a tremendous difference for Cassidy!
SHAPE-UP™ is a low starch, low sugar, high fibre mix designed to provide a balanced diet at low intake levels and to help maintain a normal, healthy metabolism. This whole cereal free ration has been designed to give a minimal glycaemic response post-feeding when fed in small quantities, and the low feeding rate makes it ideal for good-doers, as well as horses that may be prone to excitable or anxious behaviours.
Based on "Super-Fibre" technology, the energy provided is in a slow-release manner, which helps to optimise stamina and maintain a calm and trainable temperament. Being in the form of a mix, SHAPE-UP™ provides a higher level of slow-release energy when compared to traditional pelleted balancers through the fibre and oil sources that are used within the formulation.
Shape-Up contains an original acid neutralizing ingredient (Acid Buf) and a mycotoxin binder which help to maintain a healthy digestive system, ideal for horses that may be on restricted forage rations as well as those that are regularly travelling and in higher workloads.
