Hickstead - Showing Spectacular

01.08.2022

The Saracen Horse Feeds Ridden & Working Hunter classes at Hickstead were a showing spectacular.

The Lightweight Working Hunter Class was won by Allen Birch with Hegglelane Hillbilly, with only eight clears in the first phase of jumping it was a true test of horsemanship to tackle the magnificent Hickstead course. The Heavyweight division and Working Hunter Championship title was won by Ellie Hurst and her own Noble Gladiator who soaked up the main ring atmosphere and was a true gentleman.

"He does everything and is a true all-rounder. To get my first RIHS win has been very special.” - Ellie Hurst

The Lightweight Hunter was won by Robert Walker with View Point who went on to take the Championship title in the main ring. The Middleweight Hunter was won by Alice Homer and Bloomfield Eloquence with the Heavyweight Hunter being won by Jayne Ross and Twinshock Warrior.

“The horses do a lot of galloping here at the RIHS and the crowd are very appreciative, which doesn’t suit every horse, but Sean (View Point) thought it was great fun. He’s an awesome horse." - Robert Walker
